Vintage Conditions:
The weather conditions for the 2003 harvest were characterised by high summer temperatures and heavy rain at the beginning of September. The Autumn proved warm, although at night the temperatures were cooler. These conditions were favourable to obtain better maturation in terms of sugar and polyphenol concentrations.

Winemaking:
Slow fermentations, at controlled temperatures, in 33,600 litre stainless steel tanks with daily pumping-over to ensure greater extraction of flavours. Malolactic fermentation is then carried out. After fermentation, wine remains 18 months in american oak.

Tasting notes:
Solar de Samaniego Reserva is a highly aromatic wine with a complex nose in which you can find ripe fruit aromas (kirsch, prunes, blackcurrants, blackberries, jam) in perfect harmony with aromas of cocoa and spices (liquorice, eucalyptus, aniseed, cloves, nutmeg). In the mouth it is velvety, round, and full.

AWARDS:
Silver in Bacchus World Wine Awards 2010
Bronze in International Wine & Spirit Competition 2010
Silver in CINVE 2010
