Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Classic Carmenere spice and pepper, green and chili, along with red currant, blackcurrant, and a little smoke. Vibrant acidity, medium body, and moderate tannins with a touch of grip. Barrels show well on the palate with chocolate, toasty smores, and sweet oak spice. Very nice red perfectly suited for a pork tenderloin with a dark berry reduction. Great value.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Dark cherry coloured. There is a pronounced herbaceous nose with bell pepper and earth tones that opens up to mildly oaky caramel. Deliciously smooth and juicy with soft, soft tannins and medium length. This is very pleasant to sip on its own or serve it with burgers, pizza, or pasta. Good value. Tasted May 2019. www. thewineloverskitchen.com
Great value on this medium-bodied Carmenère from the Colchagua Valley. Ravanal 2017 is a Gran Reserva red, almost inky purple in the glass, Fresh blackberry, fresh-cut herb and oak spice flavours on the palate. Youthful, but coming together nicely. Enjoy now and for the next three years. Pair with charcuterie, olives, and hard cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
