Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

What a unique colour this Piper Heidsieck has! You can absolutely tell that the winemaker was not afraid to go bold with the colour and against the current trend of pale rosé coloured wines - to the extent that it almost looks red in colour, although very translucent. The nose is quite rich with pink grapefruit, candied strawberries and peeled orange rind, which prepares you for a beautiful flow on the palate. The texture of the bubbles enter the palate elegantly, leaving a creamy, mousse, playful texture with very refined flavours. I adore this wine to the extent that it excites my soul! Worth the price.
This French rose sparkling wine is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay. There was no dosage for this Champagne. Deeply coloured with cherry accents. - Community Wine Reviews
