Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Intense golden in colour, about the same shade as the medal it earned at the 2018 National Wine Awards of Canada. Potent nose of peach, apricot, honey, and honeysuckle, with hints of caramel apple. Rich and lusciously sweet, but the sugar-acid balance is outstanding and puts to bed any notion of cloying mouthfeel. Lees contact and stirring has added a little extra texture in a highly appealing manner. Palate boasts dried and jammed peach, apricot, honey, orange peel, and marmalade. Extended finish thanks to the impressive concentration. Pair this with a slice of peach pie or crumble, and experiment with an Icewine martini.
Lundy Manor 2016 Vidal Icewine from the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario wine region was awarded Gold at the 2018 National Wine Awards of Canada. This is a lovely, floral, sweet and zesty Icewine with fresh pear, apple citrus, tropical notes and honeyed flavours on the palate. Rich, balanced with brilliant acidity. Chill and enjoy on its own or with fresh fruit. This wine was aged in French acacia barrels giving the wine a soft honeyed flavour. French acacia is also known as false acacia or black locust. Its place of origin is in the Eastern United States and it was brought over to France and England in the 1600s. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
