Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The name 'Friend of Shellfish' says it all -clean, crisp and lively. Nicely balanced with hints of salinity and fruitiness. Try it with...what else? Seafood. Tasted April 2019
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lemon, citrus, and white peach nose. Very crisp and mouthwatering, dry with zingy acidity. Minerality and mild saline in the finish. The name says it all, this wine will be quite friendly with the vast majority of crustaceans, so pick your favourite and dig in.
Produced by Gustave Lorentz, L'ami Des Crustacés 2016 is a well-priced Pinot Blanc from the Alsace Wine Region. Fresh and zesty on the nose with spiced pear and citrus aromas. Dry and crisp on the palate with white florals, spiced pear, ripe apple and peachy and citrus flavours. Finishes with a crisp, clean minerality. Great acidity for food. Chill and pair it with a pork schnitzel or breaded veal cutlets with a squeeze of lemon juice. pork loin or grilled chicken. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
