Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A deep ruby red wine from France's Rhone Valley with intriguing aromas of mineral, graphite, floral, fleshy hints and ink. A complex ripe dark fruit palate with stewed prunes, dark raisins and ripe plums, vanilla, ink, tea and fleshy nuances. Finely structured, soft tannins, and a long spicy fruitcake finish.
Enjoy with duck, game or roast lamb dishes.
Attractive replays of dark berry and smoky-mocha notes across the nose and palate of this full-bodied red wine. This wine is a blend of Syrah grapes from the winery's La Combe and Chevalier Louis vineyards, all of which are old vines. Deep minerality and a great expression of Rhone Valley terroir. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
