The grapes are sourced from organically certified, estate vineyards. Aromas of dark red berries and black plum. Decant 1-2 hours. Perfect for grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

On the nose, aromas of field strawberry, earthy beets, undergrowth, violet, chocolate, and hints of menthol.

On the palate, a full bodied red that is tart and has smooth tannins. Flavours of blackberry, cherry, plum, with earthy notes following through and a long black pepper finish.

Tasted at the Taste Ontario event in April 2019.

Wine-Food Pairing: Beef roast, lamb roast, venison, or steak.
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

I discovered this wine at the Taste Ontario event in Ottawa April 3, 2019. The name, Terroir Caché, is what first attracted me to try this red with a nice mix of malbec, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot. I would pair it with a good bowl of pasta in a tomato sauce.
From Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, Hidden Bench Terroir Caché 2015 is a full-bodied and unfiltered red wine blend of 36% Cabernet Franc, 34% Merlot and 24% Malbec. Look for juicy blackberry fruit, earthy florals, vanilla and spicy flavours on the palate. Quite elegant with good acidity for food and fine, firm tannins. Nicely done. Enjoy now and for the next five years. Pair with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews
