Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fresh black berry on the nose with some leather and meaty notes with good fruit concentration on the palate. Juicy, fresh and smooth, it is drinking nicely right now but will offer up its charms for another 5 years or more. Pair with charcuterie or stew. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Awesome wine from the Rioja Valley of Spain, the Heras Cordon Vendimia Seleccionada 2016 shows quality wine making. Made from 80% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo and 10% Graciano, the nose reveals sour cherry, dried blueberry, dried rose, wet gravel, cocoa and cedar. this Spaniard is full-bodied, with youthful acidity and a well defined finish. Palate: cherry, sugarplum, bay leaf, tobacco, dill and cedar. Enjoy.
Bodegas Heras Cordon Crianza 2016 is a plushy, full-bodied red blend of 80% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo and 10% Graciano from the Rioja wine region. Look for dark plum, ripe red berry, wild herb and spicy flavours on the palate. Structured tannins are present from beginning to finish. Pair with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
