Spicy with black fruit and cedar forest notes on this southern French red wine blend. Many layers of voluptuous, full-bodied pleasure on the palate with fleshy dark fruit flavours. Smooth with a long finish. A wonderful way to spend an evening of conversation and sipping. Pair with roast beef.

Châteauneuf-Du-Pape food pairings: grilled venison steak, braised elk ribs, rabbit stew with herb dumplings.

Reviews and Ratings

Domaine Du Vieux Lazaret is owned by the Quiot family which has been living in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region for nearly 300 years. It owes its name to the seventeenth century hospital which is now the winery's head office. Lovely, rich red cherry, herbs and smoky notes top off the finish on this 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault red wine blend. - Community Wine Reviews
