Crisp and clean with lemon zest and racy acidity for shellfish. Nice aperitif. The Vintages catalogue says 2012 but we tasted 2013.

Vouvray food pairings: seafood, shrimp tempura, sushi.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A pleasant summer brunch sparkling wine. The aromas are mild but the palate packs more character. Notes of citrus peel, blossoms, and spice take the reigns. The mouthfeel is refershing and the finish is crips but with a lingering baking spice note in the finish (all spice). Enjoy with bacon frittatas. Tasted May 2016 - @sommsosa @bespoketastings
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Reserved bouquet of lemon, brioche, and apple segue into a refreshing, lemon, toast on the palate, this quite dry, sparkling wine had surprisingly few bubbles in the glass and yet a moderate lemon, yeasty finish. It has a moderate amount of palate cleansing acidity and would pair well with a variety of foods. I'd pair it with sushi.
