Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This was one of my favourite Pinot's at the California Wine Fair. Harvested early from the Jane's Vinyard the vines experienced a heat-wave in mid-August that brought the grapes quickly to 24.2 Brix. To counter that the grapes were picked early morning and underwent cold soaking. Native yeasts were used for fermentation and the wine was aged in 100% French Oak; 17% new barrels.

The result; an elegant wine with aromas of ripe cherry and an underlying earthiness. On the palate; spice, blueberry, cherry and some vanilla. Polished tannins and a long fruit finish.

Tasted April 2018.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A lovely balance of delicate and rich, this Pinot has generous, juicy black cherry, soft spice and floral notes (almost violet-like with a lingering earthiness). Eleven months in French oak. Pair with lamb or duck.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
