Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Update: February 2016 tasting: Well balanced with polished tannins. The wine has benefitted from an extra year in the cellar and it's showing beautifully now. Dark fruit, plum, black pepper, grilled peppers, and leather on the nose. Full bodied, with lots of plum and pepper on a long finish. A great wine to enjoy with balsamic pot roast, or spaghetti bolognese. 88+ points.

Deep ruby with a purple hue, this Ontario red blend is chalked full of dark berries, strawberry, black pepper, and plum notes. Refreshing acidity with some serious tannins, this red blend would be a great complement to BBQ'd steaks or gourmet burgers. Recommend a 1-2 hour decant if possible. Tasted November 2014. 88 points. Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Nov 22, 2014: Deep ruby/purple, blackberry, red currant, black pepper, smoky, meat and dusty mineral.
Medium full body, fruity and savoury with ripe blackberry, currant, black cherry, cedar, green herb and nice hit of cracked black pepper with substantial tannins on the medium long finish with pepper persisting. Nice value red, but this needs a juicy steak to ease the tannic grip.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
