Château Suau 2009 is a rich and supple red wine blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot sourced from the Cadillac Côtes De Bordeaux wine region. Excellent value at $25, it is intense with blackberry, tart cherry, anise and sweet baking spice flavours harmonious on the palate. Tannins are still quite firm, so decant the wine for at least one hour and pour it with a juicy prime rib roast.

Food pairings: roast lamb and white bean cassoulet, osso bucco, crown roast of pork.
