Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The 2011 Château Des Charmes Aligoté, sourced from a single vineyard that was planted in 1991, has intense aromas of green apple, wet stones and faint hawthorn. It is light to medium bodied, dry, has subtle tannins, refreshing acidity and a medium, slightly woody finish. It is food friendly and can go well with not-too-hot foods. My impression: NICE, 88 pts – well priced, even without being on sale for $12.95. Tasted March/13.

Mark Britton rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

The floral mixed with minerality is a bit odd for me, though there is some great acidity and even nice apple notes. This is a rare wine to be found in Ontario or really anywhere. Though this one is by no means bad, once it's harnessed it will likely produce very nice wines in future vintages.
Travis Oke rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

My research tells me that an Aligoté may be impertinent. Further research (on the word impertinent) just confused me. What isn't confusing is that this is a good example of Aligoté and we are fortunate that Ch des Ch grows if for us. Floral and mineral - fresh white wine. Great apéritif.
