Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Washington State goes Italian with this 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese. An interesting nose of raspberry with toasty notes. Concentrated fruit on the palate with the 30% Sangiovese providing some brightness and lift. Peppery and vibrant. Great structure and acidity. Serve with meaty spaghetti or lamb shanks. Excellent value. Tasted Dec 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Similar to an Italian Super Tuscan blend, this medium-bodied red from Washington State poursmedium ruby into the glass, releasing aromas of dark berries and spice. Medium acidity with a dry finish. Serve with Italian tomato-based dishes or lamb. This wine should be decanted, with aging potential.
Casa Smith is a full-bodied 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese red wine blend. Spicy on the nose and juicy-fruity on the palate with ripe plum, black cherry, dark berry and a long finish of exotically perfumed spices. Rich and delicious. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
