A big, bold and juicy Zinfandel made from grapes grown on dry-farmed, head-trained old vines of 60 to 80 years of age. Powerful and fragrant with liquid raspberry, chocolate, wild herb, smoky spices and vanilla flavours concentrated on the palate. Smooth and full-bodied. Pair with grilled meats.

Zinfandel food pairings: grilled meats, gourmet burgers and BBQ chicken wings.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Waxy raspberry bramble on the nose. Warm, dry red fruit on the palate. Very approachable with soft tannins. Tasted Dec 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A fruity Zinfandel from Northern California, this full-bodied wine has black berries and raspberry aromas which continue on to the palate with herbal and vanilla notes. Medium tannins and an herbal finish will pair well with poultry roasted with fresh herbs.
Still a great Old Vine Zin from the Lodi wine region. Spicy and concentrated on the nose with dark berry, cedar spicy and smoke. Full-bodied and powerful with crushed raspberry, plum, chocolate, earthy savoury herbs with balanced acidity to match. Just so juicy. Pair with a pork roast. - Community Wine Reviews
