Mocha and sweet dark chocolate from generous oak aging on the nose and palate. This is followed by sweet cherry flavours and a supple almost full-bodied weight. Pair with ham.

Reviews and Ratings

Joseph rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Have the 2013, and it is amazing!! A strong, almost overpowering nose at first. Very fruity then the vanilla hits. The vanilla flavor gets stronger with every sip, and leaves a velvety, silk feeling in the mouth. My new favorite!!!
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Anyone who thinks Pinot Noir may be a little wimpy, should try this Pinot. Very rich on the palate with flavors of raspberry, plum, chocolate, and lots of great spices like cloves. A persistent lingering finish that stays with you, I found the wine at times a little over-powering, but tasty.
Plenty to like on the nose with hi-tone aromas of spicy black plums, fresh blackberries and vanilla cream. A big gulp of exotically spiced plum and dark berry fruit is front and center, very seductive, expanding in the mouth, permeating every nook and cranny, and finishing with power, length and a velvety appeal. The cream soda-laced oak and cinnamon and clove spice flavors are complementary. Similar to the 2010 version which was an “All-American.” This wine has something unique and recognizable to me. Not even close to classic or Old World traditional Pinot Noir, but it tastes great and drinks seamlessly. Cool package too. Source: William Gaffney, princeofpinot.com, Feb. 27, 2013
