A lovely BC white wine made from the classic Chardonnay grape. Aromas of honey, Asian pear, golden apple and smoke. Pair with roast turkey or chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Bartier Bros Chardonnay Cerqueira Vineyard 2016 is a beauty all around. Brilliant and pale gold in the glass with savoury herbs, fresh mushroom and white pepper spice on the nose. Smooth, dry and elegant with roasted Brazil nut, melon, mandarin, smoky flavours on the palate finishing long with soft citrus and dusty mineral notes. Beautiful, balanced with zesty acidity for fatty fish dishes. Paired with pan-fried halibut in brown butter. This vintage was aged 10 months in stainless steel and neutral 225-litre barrels, sur lie. Production: 425 cases.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful and vibrant! Fermented with native yeasts, this wine has lots of golden apple, pear, some zippy lemon and a hint of a mineral note, reminiscent of the terroir of the Black Sage gravel bar in Oliver, BC. Smooth on the palate, balanced fruit, some honey and that minerality dancing across the tongue on the finish. Enjoy this with chicken, corn on the cob, or seared scallops.
