Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a lovely, rich, Chardonnay, with aromas of pear, pineapple, and apple, along with notes of vanilla, spice, and a hint of honey. Medium+ bodied, with medium acidity, and a lovely, creamy texture on the palate. Fruit is rich and ripe, with rounded pear and apple, balanced nicely with ginger and other warm spice hints. This manages to capture that rich, California Chardonnay spirit with enough fresh fruit and acid to provide great balance. Enjoy with pan seared scallops or any other rich seafood dishes.
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Californian Chardonnay offers peaches and cream on the nose along with fresh pineapple, vanilla bean, baking spices, slight barnyard, and hints of petrol. As it warms, the nose reveals delicate floral and pear flan notes.

Full bodied and dry on the palate with lemon and green apple notes, subtle butterscotch, crisp acidity, and a mineral undertone. The flavours linger.

Try with pork roast.

A well structured yet sexy expression of California Chardonnay, with grapes harvested from a few Northern and Southern regions.

The 2020 vintage is a rich golden hue in the glass, with fresh and lively aromas of apples, pear, starfruit and honey. A velvety mouthfeel, followed by a crisp citrus finish. Pair with maple glazed salmon or beet root salads.

Big, buttery, full-throttle Cali chardonnay - heaps of spiced oak, toasted/grilled pineapple and tropical fruit, yellow apple and citrus aromas and flavours. Bit of a short finish showing buttery, caramel apple notes. good price point for this style of California chardonnay. Serve with grilled or sauteed chicken.

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Wagner family have been making top quality wines in California since the 1850's. Their Sea Sun line is comprised of a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - two popular grapes that are sourced from various vineyards over several hundred miles.

This 2020 Chardonnay is a great value. Aromas of oak, caramel, tropical fruit and spice. Full body (14.3% alcohol) with low/medium acidity. Soft buttery mouthfeel with flavours of ripe apple, peach, pineapple and meyer lemon. Medium creamy finish.
I had just been to a specialty cheese store and it paired beautifully with the triple cream brie on my charcuterie platter. Tasted March 22/2022
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Sea Sun 2020 is a rich Californian Chardonnay that shows warm aromas of yellow apple, white peach, meyer lemon, saline, butter and toffee. Made by the Wagner Family of Wine and Harvested in three separate locations (Solano County, Santa Barbara County and Monterey County), the wine delivers a creamy full body and seductive acidity. Palate: pineapple, pear, lime peel, saline, curd, vanila and pie crust. Enjoy.
Craig Haynes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Cali chardonnay’s headliners evoke grilled tropical fruit, nuttiness, honey and lightly smoked oak spices from pour to finish.

Crafted with grapes sourced from California’s Solano, Monterey and Santa Barbara counties, this pleasing chard feels medium+ bodied, super dry, creamy in texture and has light touch acidity. This creation would pair nicely with rotisserie chicken all year round. Enjoy.
