Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From Clos du Soleil Winery in the Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, shines Capella, a fresh and vibrant white Meritage blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon aptly named after the brilliant Capella star prominent in the Northern Hemisphere on winter evenings.

Capella is Clos du Soleil's top tier white wine, complex and elegant with white grapefruit, lemon curd, fresh pear, soft orange citrus, smoky, mineral aromas on the nose; dry, medium-bodied, beautifully-balanced, creamy and mouth-filling with crisp, fresh acidity and a lingering grapefruit and mineral finish on the palate. Extremely moreish!

The Sauvignon Blanc wine grapes for this vintage were sourced from the Whispered Secret Vineyard and Blind Creek Vineyard in Keremeos with the Semillon wine grapes from Dhaliwal Bros Vineyard in Oliver.

Grapes were whole-clustered pressed, fermented in 65% French oak puncheons and 35% stainless steel tank, then barrel-aged for nine months on fine lees with regular batonnage. Tasted December 2020.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
