Dark ruby in color. Aromas of cranberry, blackberry and anis. Bright sour cherry on the palate with spicy notes with good tannin structure.
Malcolm Lamont rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

This is an interesting wine, and not just because it is made from the Gamza grape variety in Bulgaria!

Very juicy on the palate, and literally tastes like juice from red cherries, but has lovely tannin structure, and a mocha, caramel savouriness in the background.

A steal for $14, and you can test your wine-geek friends by tasting this one blind!
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely! I don't think I have ever had Gamza before. Aromas of raspberry, cranberry, with some slight peppery hints. Medium bodied on the palate (given the deep colour, a little lighter than I expected), with bright red fruit on the palate, bright acidity, and a slightly spicy finish. Enjoy with pizza or pasta with bolognese. This is a great value too!
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I can't say I've tasted too many wines from Bulgaria so my interest was piqued with this one. Gamza, or also known as Cadarca or Kadarkais is an indigenous grape in Bulgaria and Romania. The grape has a dark skin - accounting for the almost opaque ruby red colour.

The body is surprising given the colour - as it's fairly lightweight on the palate. Deep aromas of sour cherry and raspberry which also flow through in the flavour.

Medium finish and a GREAT buy at this price! November 17/2019
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What a find!
If you’ve never tried wine from Bulgaria, make this winery your first.
The grapes from the wine region of Gamza Suhindol are traditionally Bordeaux in style - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and sometimes Syrah.
Brilliant garnet red in the glass, aromas of blackberry, blueberry, white pepper and nutmeg, that carry through to a spicy blueberry finish.
Wonderful paired with tomato sauce pastas.
Enjoy now or lay down for a few more years.
Tasted Oct 2019.
