Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Purchased on a recommendation from a fellow oenophile, this wine did not disappoint, and the price point is simply insane. There's lots of black briar and currant fruit, along with cassis liqueur, mesquite charcoal, hung meat, Kenya AA coffee and cedar. 92 Points.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is an extremely concentrated and delicious red from a lesser-known area in Spain. Valencia, in southeastern Spain, has a mediterranean climate and sits on a mixture of sandy clay and eroding dolomitic soils; much like southern ontario, but much more severe in heat.
This wine is made by a quality producer, Bodega Los Frailes. They dry-farm their grapes (possible thanks to the caliche soils) and are also organic. What a steal!
Sosososo deep and hedonistoc, but with no flab or loss of structure. This dynamo is 15% alcohol and still feels chiseled and lean.
Deep ruby amd purple. Glass-coating.
Aromas of incense, hickory, blackberry, cherry, cassis jam, and black olive.
This wine crushes. On the palate, look for tons of red and black berry, woodsmoke, coffee, and some dried herbs. It has great acidity and a lot of freshness still, in spite of the age.
It needs a long decant before you can sink your teeth into it.
It'll age gracefully for close to a decade still. Unbelievable value. Rich reds can be overdone... But not here! This is great wine.
Pair it with some spicy merguez sausage and hazelnut salad.
