Dan Carkner reviewed this wine as follows:

Floral with ripe berries on the nose. Bright and juicy on the palate. Tart cherry and cinnamon with anise and leather linger on the palate through the long finish. Very mellow tannins are present enough to provide structure but this wine is ready to enjoy now. Treat yourself to a glass while you unwind or serve with roasted pork or lamb in a garlic-rosemary mustard crust.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous. Graphite minerality, savoury, smoky cherry, anise. Pairs well with traditional Italian tomato based dishes. Great acidity, mouthwatering. Tasted 2012 vintage Nov 2017. Balanced. Bring on the food with this beauty. 91 points. #BespokeTastings
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep garnet hued and stewed fruit, dark cherry toasted coconut and wood loam on the nose, this is a lovely dry, crisp, medium-to-full-bodied red with a long finish. I would pair this with a variety of tomato-based Italian dishes.

Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Despite having CS and Merlot added to the dominant Sangiovese this one tastes as if they hadn't. More floral notes and classic earthiness one expects from a good Chianti. It also possesses classic levels of acidity to provide you with a crisp dry wine - perfect for tomato based dishes.
