Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Decanted this wine to share with some friends on a Wednesday night. This is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet from the Tignanello estate. Attractive earthy aromas, some black cherry, leather and spice and a long finish. Tannins are a bit firm and the acidity still fairly prevalent so this is a Chianti that will improve with aging. Jane Staples rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A dark ruby/garnet Chianti Classico with aromas of cherry, vanilla, cedar and touch of mocha. The delicious palate repeats with mouth-watering acidity in a smooth extra-dry mouthfeel and long mocha/ cherry finish. Enjoy with pasta in pesto sauce.

Natalie's Review

Marchese Antinori Riserva Chianti Classico 2013, Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy: The Sangiovese grapes for this Italian red wine grow on the Tignanello Estate nestled in the core of the Chianti Classico district. This wine is matured for 14 months in small oak casks followed by another 12 months aging in the bottle before it goes to market. Smoky cigar box and dried herbs on the nose, extremely dry palate, full-bodied and subtle. Earthy not fruity. Dedicated to those who love the slow unfolding of sensual pleasure in the glass. Could use some cellar time. Decant 1-2 hours. Drink: 2017-2022. 241363 13.50% XD 750 mL  $42.95 Score: 89/100. February 9, 2017 Perfect Pasta and Tomato Sauce Wine  Full Review
