Mymi Thesingingsommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

If you are looking for true Austrian quality and authenticity, look no further!
Now in the 5th generation, Georg and Silvia Prieler’s mission is to make memorable and unique wines with great depth as well as ageing potential. Faithfully committed to the terroir of the Leithaberg region, their wines are sustainably crafted from vineyard to bottle!
The grapes for this wine average between 60 to 90 years of age.
Deep ruby red in the glass with intense red fruit, dried mint and lovely earthiness on the nose.
Dry and robust on the palate. Good tannins with loads of crushed juicy ripe cherries, hint of dried mint and toasted oak. Perfect to sip on or enjoy with an oversized beef dip sandwich!
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aged in austrian oak,to insure that it reflects as much as possible its origin, this bold tasting wine combines notes of dark fruits, oak and some minerality. We had the chance to taste the 2003 vintage, and boy, does it evolve nicely! It had some delicious earthy notes not unlike a finely crafted and ripe cabernet franc.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
