Another gem from Painted Rock's 2013 vintage! This Cab Sauv sets off enticing aromas including: black berry fruit, baking spices (anise and clove) leather, mint, dark choclate and earthy minerality. Mouthfeel is chewy and grippy yet mouthwatering. Tannins are high but well integrated with a medium plus acidity. This wine full bodied and lingers on the palate with long minted berry finish. This Cab Sauv has a big future ahead and will age very well for another 10 years. If enjoying now, please aerate and decant. Pair with a lovely beef roast.

This is a serious wine... Cassis, blueberry, bitter cocoa and crushed granite. Intense minerality. With definitely loosen up over the next decade. Lay this one down.

A beautiful full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from award winning winery, Painted Rock, located in Canada's 'Bordeaux', the Okanagan Valley. Deep, layered, and complex. The nose shows ripe dark berries, roasted beets, eucalyptus, cedar, and earth. Dry, with fine integrated tannins, this is a stellar estate Cabernet that will continue to shine over the next 10 years. Enjoy with braised beef dishes. Tasted October 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

90/100 with the following review:
Deep ruby/purple, with currants, blackberry, cedar, mineral and green leaf. Medium full bodied with currant, cherry, cedar, mineral, spice and herb. Very well made, but this is very young and the tannins though fine are massive. I expect his needs at least another three years in the cellar to soften up and come together. Drink 2018-2025+ or decant now and serve with fatty cut of beef to soak up the tannins.

I love the aromas of this Cabernet Sauvignon. It opens with aromas of baking spices, and rich ripe black fruits.
The ripe black fruits come through with some herbal notes on the palate. I like the balance of acidity and tannins.
Pair this with some blue cheese.

Black fruit, cherry and tobacco on the nose. The palate offers the same with some mint and mocha flavors.
