Philippe Perreault rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Deep golden color.

A powerful nose of toasted bread, mineral, vanilla, nuts, butter and oak.

The palate is Nerve, buttery, complex and long.

Pair it with creamy cheese or shellfish.

Serve it at 10-12 degrees.

Can be aged 3-5 years.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of yellow apple, apricot, and vanilla on the nose, as well as some buttery notes. The butter comes out more forcefully in the flavour, as does a touch of bitter yellow apple. There's a nice balance of fruit and oak, and well balanced acidity. A perfect barbecued chicken wine.
Astrid Young rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A big fat butter ball in the nose, goes large on the mid palate with hints of vanilla and butter shortbread. Finishes with firm acid but seems a little out of balance on the finish with some smoky and oxidative notes. Charcoal Grilled chicken, grilled zucchini and asparagus.
David Skinner rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Medium straw to light golden and bright. Tropical notes of pineapple, ripe apples and baking spice accented by light oak nuances. A medium to full bodied wine with flavors of tropical fruit, hints of almonds and a nice long carmel and fruit finish.

Try this with rich seafood or chicken dishes eapecially accompanied by a cream or butter sauce.
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Nov 23, 2014: Medium yellow with nose showing melon, caramel and toasty oak spice.
Full bodied, creamy, buttery, toasty oak, caramel, baking spice, honeydew mellon, apple and some lactic notes. Generous oak and alcohol, I would have liked more acidity to support the weight. The caramel tinged finish is medium long with alcohol note persisting. Best served chilled with food, perhaps pork tenderloin medallions with a drizzle of mustard cream sauce.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A rich and luscious Napa Chardonnay, the nose offers yellow apple, bread, lees, and butterscotch. Rich, creamy, and full bodied, this oaked Chardonnay has undergone Malolactic fermentation to make it velvety smooth. A wine I'd recommend enjoying on its own, with fresh baked bread and soft cheese, or pair with lobster and butter sauce. Tasted November 2014. 88-89 points. Matt Steeves - @QuercusVino

Natalie's Review

Sterling Vineyards Chardonnay 2012, Napa Valley, California, United States: Big, bold, buttery Californian Chardonnay in all its glory. Layered and rich and offering so much pleasure. Aromas and flavours of tropical fruit and freshly baked bread. Try this with roast chicken. Unapologetically big and blustery Chard serving up plenty of ripe melon, poached pear, white peach, sandalwood and touches of coconut and vanilla. It's robust and generous in the mouth with a creamy texture. (VINTAGES panel, June 2014) Drink: 2013-2018. 330233 13.50% XD 750 mL  $22.95 Score: 91/100. April 15, 2015 Top Rated White Wine.
