Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A bright and pale yellow wine that has wonderful minerality and a saline quality, you can really smell the terroir.

With aromas of peach, pineapple and tropical fruit and a touch of almond and honey, as well as herbal notes.

Flavour wise, we find tropical fruit, mostly lychee, as well as some lemon. It is crisp and tart and the flavours linger on the palate. Overall, a lovely wine.

Pair with oysters, white fish, or with grilled lobster or shrimp.

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Grand Cru Chablis usually fetch a lot more than what they are asking, for this one. If you've never had grand. Cru Chablis, this is your chance to scoop one up for a good price.
Beautiful deep colour. Lustrous yellow, with a pale rim.
Aromatically, it is pretty big and has definitely seen some oak (bigger Chablis, such as the cru ones, often see much more oak treatment). Lots of peach, pear, and green apple. Burning beeswax, honey, and oats.
It hits your palate with a great balance between really lean, crisp flavours and a big, generous midpalate. Candied pineapple and more peach replays. Smoke on the finish. Some lit match, a bit.
Bougros has the steepest slope of all of the grand cru areas, in Chablis. The grapes sit on a great southeastern aspect, perfectly exposed to the sun. Chablis is definitely a cool-climate region, but Bougros routinely offers lots of ripeness by virtue of sun exposure.
Domaine Servin Bougros (2013) is a Grand Crus Chablis. This zesty and pale straw, medium-bodied Chablis is green apple crunch, lemon zest finishing with a vibrant acidity. Fantastic for seafood, raw oysters or oyster poor boy sandwiches. - Community Wine Reviews
