Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is blockbuster. And for only 18 bucks, reached the insanity category for me. There’s lots of black currant, plum skin, grilled herbs, grilled meat, chalky minerals, tar and iodine here. The nose delivers a flash of dried dark flowers and these persist all the way to the finish. Spectacular. Laplace is really crushing it in Madiran. 92 Points.
Domaine Mouréou 2014 is produced by the Famille Laplace and is a full-bodied and rustic red made from the Tannat wine grape, the Madiran region's local grape with lots of tannins and structure. Decant for two hours prior to serving with rustic meat stews or hold in cellar for three years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
