Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dancing Coyote has hit a home run with their 2016 Loureiro. What a treat to find this outside of Portugal. Off-dry with a clean, subtle nose of white flowers and honey. It is lively with refreshing acidity, fruit and lemon on the palate. Nicely balanced. Serve it on docks and decks with seafood-crab, scallops, lobster or paté and creamy cheeses. Tasted April 2019.
Alana L rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

I discovered this winery at the Montréal California Wine Fair held at Bonsecours market and fell in love with them! The story behind the name? ‘Legend has it, each year at the beginning of the growing season a band of coyotes from the nearby foothills sneak into the Dancing Coyote vineyards, and for no apparent reason other than treachery, chew on irrigation lines with wild abandon. Following these scandalous acts, they have been known on occasion to join paws and dance around, howling at the moon in celebration.’ Family-owned, run and operated in California’s Clarksburgh appellation, their lovely 2016 Loureiro successfully crosses over from it’s country of origin: Portugal. Juicy lemon flavours, slight herbal notes, just a touch of sweetness with 1.5 g / 100 ml of residual sugar. Would pair beautifully with sharp cheese or shellfish or simply as a chilled aperitif.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
