Catena Bodega Catena Zapata Chardonnay 2009, Estate Lots, Mendoza, Argentina: Vintages Wine Panel: Vibrant array of aromas, including coconut, oatmeal, cardamom, yellow plum, vanilla custard and guava. Dry, very generous with lots of fruit along with equally appealling oak notes and fresh acidity. Full bodied with a long finish. This big and bold wine has a surprising elegance to it too. Cellar it 2-4+ years, or savour tonight. My note: Rich and full-bodied with generous layers of tropical fruit, peach and green apple.
