Monte Zovo Sa' Solin Valpolicella Ripasso 2012, Veneto D.O.C., Italy: Produced by Montezovo, this full-bodied red wine has a lovely bite plus rich, ripe blackberries and dark fruit. Just enough toasty oak. Wonderful wine for the price point: full-bodied, juicy, and layers of rich black cherry aromas and flavours. Good acidity, nice balance overall. Made using the Appassimento method of drying the grapes to concentrate the flavour, depth and heft. Pair with game meats. Fire up the grill!
