Trius Hillebrand Winery Pinot Grigio 2011, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: A light, refreshing and mouth-watering white from winemaker Craig MacDonald. Lovely lifted aromas of lime and lemon zest makes this a great aperitif. Great concentration yet it's not heavy in the slightest. The wine was cool- fermented in stainless steel to preserve its fresh fruit purity. Pair with salads and seafood. Drink: 2013-2015. 561076 12.70% D 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 89/100. Rosehall Run Rosehall Vineyard Chardonnay 2011, Prince Edward County, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A lovely cool-climate chardonnay that offers generous aromas of melon, peach and toffee yet is also racy and balanced. One of my favourite producers in Prince Edward County. Drink: 2013-2017. 326512 12.70% XD 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 92/100. May 10, 2014 Top Rated White Wine. Gorgeous Gift Wine Full Review
Fielding Estate Winery Gewürztraminer 2012, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: White pepper and white grapefruit on the nose, slight sweetness of fleshy peach on the palate then finishes with a floral profusion. Lovely. Medium-bodied. Perfect for Asian dishes. The grapes for this wine were cold soaked before pressing to extract as much flavour as possible. Drink: 2013-2016. 146753 12.50% D 750 mL  $15.75 Score: 90/100. May 10, 2014 Best Value White Wine. Splendid Salad Wine Full Review
Valle Andino Reserva Especial Syrah 2008, Colchagua Valley, Rapel Valley, Chile: A full-bodied red wine with a supple, smooth texture and seductive dark spices. Pretty darn amazing for the price, even at twice the price. Lusciously ripe black fruit with layers of juicy pleasure that will make you regret buying only one bottle. The parent winery of Valle Andino is Agricola Y Commercial Santa Camila. Full-bodied and some kinda wonderful. Drink: 2013-2016. 272682 14.50% XD 750 mL  $13.95 Score: 90/100. Amaral Sauvignon Blanc 2014, Leyda Valley, Chile: Unbelievably great quality, taste and freshness for the price. Clean notes of lime and lemon, with a citrus lift on the finish. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the cool-climate Chilean region of the Leyda Valley that borders and is moderated by the Pacific Ocean. Beaulieu Vineyard BV Coastal Estates Sauvignon Blanc 2013, California, United States: Clean, fresh and crisp like the mist of the Pacific Ocean on a spring day. That's not surprising given that the Sauvignon Blanc grapes for the BV Coastal Estates grow close to the water, and thus get the moderating influence of the ocean to preserve their freshness. There's a lovely lime lift through the mid-palate with a kick of lemon zest on the finish. Staggeringly great value and taste for the price. Drink: 2015-2019. 295253 13.50% MD 750 mL  $10.95 Score: 89/100. December 3, 2020 Best Value White Wine. Great Goat Cheese Wine Full Review
