Zonte's Footstep Lake Doctor Shiraz 2012, Langhorne Creek, South Australia, Australia: What a blockbuster Shiraz for the price! This red wine delivers attractive aromas of blackberries, licorice, black and purple plum notes and toasty oak. Full-bodied supple, smooth, smoky and juicy. Great for potluck gatherings and movie night. Drink: 2013-2016. 72975 14.50% D 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100. March 7, 2015 Best Value Red Wine. Plush Pork Wine Full Review
Rolf Binder Heinrich Shiraz Mataro Grenache 2010, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: Smoky black fruit aromas on the nose; this is a full-bodied and brooding Australian red wine blend of 65% Shiraz, 25% Mataro (aka Mourvèdre) and 10% Grenache. Dark and deep with terrific concentration of flavour. Judicious use of oak gives this wine a lovely weave of smoke. Long finish. Pair with rack of lamb. Drink: 2013-2018. 90258 14% D 750 mL  $28.95 Score: 91/100. February 7, 2015 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine Full Review
Sister's Run Epiphany Shiraz 2012, Mclaren Vale, South Australia, Australia: Concentrated pleasure with dark depths of fleshy black plums and blackberry fruit. What a package, especially for this price. Winemaker Elena Brooks apparently wears steel cap work boots every day but carries a pair of high heels in case of "emergencies" (you go girl!). Pair with t-rex burgers. Drink: 2014-2018. 269464 14.50% XD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 93/100. April 18, 2015 Best Value Red Wine. Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
Errazuriz Estate Carmenere 2013, Chile, Chile: A savoury satin-smooth Carmenere from a terrific producer. This wine is a steal at this price, and makes for a great party wine: not too heavy, not too light. Aromas of black plum and mocha. Perfect for a juicy steak Drink: 2014-2017. 16238 13.50% D 750 mL  $12.95 Score: 88/100. April 15, 2015 Best Value Red Wine. Best Beef Wine Full Review
Coopers Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: Grassy and herbal but not overly so in this zesty, well-respected New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Finishes with lime lift and zest. Even the acids are well balanced here. I smell vegetarian quiche. I'm hungry (and thirsty). Drink: 2013-2015. 957407 13% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 89/100. November 1, 2013 Best Value White Wine. Venerated Vegetarian Wine Full Review
