Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Coonawarra, South Australia, Australia: Luscious and rich with cassis, fleshy blackberry and blackcurrant. Absolutely classic with a long finish. Tremendous quality for the price. There's some seductive anise and dark spice on the long finish. The bold wine has longevity, not only for this vintage in your cellar, but also this particular wine has been made now for 54 years. Santa Alicia Gran Reserva De Los Andes Carmenère 2011, Maipo Valley, Chile: Minty black plum aromas on the nose that open to a fleshy seductive richness on the palate. Full-bodied and supple. I like that the fruit doesn't taste sweet but more savoury. Great food wine, and all-round terrific wine for the money.
