Monte del Frá Bardolino 2016, Veneto D.O.C., Italy: Lots of bright red berry fruit notes on the nose and palate of this mouth-watering Italian red wine -- just a great, drink-now wine. Bardolino is often nicknamed "baby Valpolicella," a nod to that appellation that is next to it. A terrific wine for the money, and a great one for holiday parties and potluck gatherings. It offers aromas and flavours of fleshy ripe cherries with full-bodied weight and mouth-watering juiciness. Finishes with some spice and black plum. Decant 1 hour.
