Le Tobele Amarone Della Valpolicella Ripasso 2008, D.O.C., Veneto, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: An exceptionally priced, complex Ripasso that gains its extra depth and richness of flavour from the grape skins of Le Tobele’s Amarone. Chocolate and black cherry fruit with hints of raisins on the nose. Medium-full bodied and offering dried fruit, spice, and a sweet core. Dry and fruity on the finish. Firesteed Pinot Gris 2009, Oregon, United States: Vintages Wine Panel: An intense nose rich with ripe apple, pear and minerality. The palate is a touch off-dry offering a gentle sweetness. Juicy and flavourful with good minerality, apple and citrus tones and an intense finish. Perfect as a sipper, it will work beautifully with a grilled trout with lemon butter.
