Domaine Chanson Teurons 1Er Cru Pinot Noir 2008, A.C., Beaune, Burgundy, France: A gorgeous rose of a wine: delicate yet concentrated with flavour. Seductive fleshy red cherries, satin texture and a finish that goes on forever. One of the best pinot noirs that I’ve tasted in quite some time. Why do I always fall in love with the expensive ones? Henri De Villamont Les Évocelles Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2009, A.C., Burgundy, France: In real estate it's location, location, location. In wine, it's increasingly texture, texture, texture. This feels like sliding on a cool silk dress over a sun-warmed body, head first down to angles. It brushes all the senses lightly, teasing and drawing you back to the glass. Satin cherries, some spice and medium- to full weight though never heavy or chafing. Drink: 2012-2018. 279042 13.50% XD 750 mL $42.95 Score: 95/100. September 15, 2012
