Domaine Durieu Châteauneuf-Du-Pape 2014, Rhone A.C., France: The 2014 vintage of this blockbuster Châteauneuf du Pape is a blend of mainly Grenache grapes along with 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, with some minor bits of other grapes. Robust and towering southern French red wine from the heart of the Rhone Valley, with black and dark red raspberry and blackberry aromas. Violets, anise and dark spices on the palate with a velvet smooth texture and ultra-long finish. Perfect dinner party wine or gift wine. Pair with hearty meat dishes. Will cellar well.
