La Tremenda Monastrell 2014, Alicante D.O., Spain: The 2014 vintage of La Tremenda is a single vineyard, medium-bodied red made with 100% Monastrell wine grapes. Enrique Mendoza is the producer of this Alicante wine region red and La Tremenda comes from a single vineyard planted 16 years ago at 600 metres above sea level The wine was fermented in stainless steel and aged in 500-litre oak vats for six months. A terrific, full-bodied Spanish red wine at an amazingly great price for the quality. Aromas of dark fruit, smoke, earth. Pair with grilled lamb.
