Zonte's Footstep Blackberry Patch Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia, Australia: The wine is named for King Arthur's legend: whomever could pull the sword Excalibur from the stone under the Avalon Tree, would rule as king. Also named for Australia's great gumtrees. A rich and juicy red wine blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance in Tempranillo. Crisp with tropical, ripe apple, peach and flavours with a lemony buttery finish. Stratus was the world's first fully LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) winery from 2005. Arboleda Carmenère 2021, Aconcagua Valley, Aconcagua Costa D.O., Chile: Arboleda 2021 Carmenère is produced from organically-grown grapes sourced from Chile's Aconcagua Valley. The wine is dry and medium-bodied with bright and dark cherry, grilled wild herbs, black olive and roasted bell pepper flavours fresh on the palate. Fresh and fragrant with bright green apple, pear, melon and lemon zest flavours, it is dry, medium-plus-bodied and satiny textured on the palate. An elegant Chardonnay with pure fruit expression from the Roussillon wine region. The wine was aged in tank and neutral French oak barrels. Demazet Armoiries Tradition Côtes du Rhône 2022, Côtes du Rhône, Rhône A.P., France: Demazet Armoiries 2022 is an excellent value Côtes Du Rhône red at $15. Dry, medium-plus-bodied and vegan-friendly, it is a blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Mourvèdre sourced from vineyards around the town of Avignon and is the result of a collaboration between two French cellars and their relationship with 245 small growers. Juicy with vibrant red berry, cherry, tanned leather and cracked pepper flavours plushy on the palate, it is framed with soft, rounded tannins and so ready to drink now.
