Ferraton Père & Fils Samorens 2014, Côtes Du Rhône A.C., France: Wild black cherry and cedar underbrush in this feral red wine from southern France in the heart of the Rhone Valley. Full-bodied and smooth. A cedary, smoky southern French red wine, with ripe fleshy dark berry aromas. Love this style of Rhone! It’s so interesting and lip-smacking delicious with each sip; you don’t tire of it. It also pairs with many hearty meat dishes. Amazing value and complexity here. Finishes with savoury notes of bacon, dried herbs and cedar forest. Decant for 1-2 hours and enjoy with pepperoni pizza, especially at this phenomenal price. Perfect for roast beef.
