Canepa Finísimo Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Colchagua Valley, Chile, Chile: A beautifully structured Chilean Cabernet with an impressively long finish. There is a splash of Syrah in this wine. Rich and savoury on the palate, with nuances of cassis, black plum, violets and cigar box. A distinctive coffee-espresso finish with some baking spice. Full-bodied and smooth, with polished tannins. Will cellar well. Pair with rare filet mignon. Drink: 2016-2022. 211920 14% XD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 94/100. January 8, 2017 Best Value Red Wine. Domaine Chauveau La Charmette Pouilly Fumé 2010, A.C., Loire, France: Classic Old World Sauvignon Blanc that's pure lemon light and crispness. Not much oak evident here; great mouth-watering juiciness for food. Not grassy, just refreshing and focused. Makes me focused too ... on the bottle. Drink: 2012-2014. 274357 13% XD 750 mL  $21.95 Score: 91/100. April 14, 2012 Full Review
