Domaine Lou Moural Grenache Noir Syrah Carignan 2007, A.C., Minervois, Midi, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Winner of a Silver Medal at the Concours Altides du Languedoc et du Roussillon 2008. Deep ruby-coloured blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah, with a tiny bit of Carignan. It showcases the bright fruit and spice typical of Languedoc reds: a nose of ripe currant, black cherry, and plum, with wisps of smoke, and lots of the same on the palate. Medium bodied and easy to enjoy, this is a great value and will delight with beef bourguignon. My note: Terrific value for this full-bodied tasty red that delivers ripe dark berries and some smoke.
