Château Lacoste Borie Meritage 2008, A.C., Pauillac, Bordeaux, France: Vintages Wine Panel: An exceptional cellar candidate at a very good price. Aromas suggest cedar, sandalwood, raspberry, cassis, woodsmoke and fire-roasted tomato. Dry with very elegant fruit wrapped inside firm but fine tannins and bright acidity. This wine has very good style and structure. Medium full-bodied with a long, refined finish. Cellar 5+ years. My note: Classic, beautifully-structured Bordeaux with a lovely smoky, toasty nose that curls itself around cassis and blackberry notes of the cabernet blend.
