Evans & Tate Cabernet Merlot 2004, Margaret River, Australia: A juicy, generous red with lovely, heart-stopping aromas of blackberry and fleshy plum. Great finish. 721548 14.50% D 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 90/100. February 20, 2010 Best Value Red Wine. Full Review
Mas des Bressades Cuvée Tradition Cyril Mares, Prop.-Récolt. Syrah Grenache 2009, A.C., Costières De Nîmes, Châteauneuf-Du-Pape, Rhône, France: Vintages Wine Panel: A blend of 55% Syrah and 45% Grenache, this wine is filled with aromas of tar, tea, licorice, candy and chocolate. The palate confirms the promised complexity of the nose. Dry, with beautifully integrated tannins and a fine acidity, this has great structure and balance. A tremendous value from an up-and-coming region. My note: Savoury and dark with big black fruit, smoke and meaty notes. A heart of darkness runs through this rich, deep, full-bodied wine. This is an incredible price. Buy by the caseload for parties and your own pleasure. Drink: 2011-2015. 143099 14.10% XD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 90/100. March 5, 2011 Best Value Red Wine. Full Review
Castel Del Monte Nero Di Troia Violante 2009, D.O.C., Puglia, Italy: Great wine for the money! Spicy and juicy with fleshy black cherry. Full-bodied and supple. Great for pizza. Drink: 2013-2016. 327833 13% D 750 mL  $16.30 Score: 89/100. May 11, 2013 Best Value Red Wine. Complete Cheese Pizza Wine Full Review
Cline Cellars Syrah 2007, Sonoma County, California, United States: Vintages Wine Panel: Made with grapes sourced primarily from Cline’s Sonoma County vineyards, this well-priced, fleshy and full-bodied Syrah will have you singing its praises! Look for aromas and flavors of blackberry, cracked pepper, plum and leather with a hint of oak, and a medium-long, peppery finish. My note: One of the best values in the liquor store for when when you want a full-on, robust red with juicy berry flavors but not heavy oak. This is a superb wine: This producer is always consistently great at every price point in its range. This wine is part of the Vintages Essentials Collection. 733758 14.30% D 750 mL  $22.95 Score: 90/100. April 21, 2009 Best Value Red Wine. Full Review
Ste. Michelle Wine Estates 14 Hands Hot to Trot Red Blend Hot to Trot 14 Hands Vineyards Columbia Valley 2009, Washington, United States: Dynamite for the price! Simply wow. Smooth, full-bodied and packed with luscious dark plum and blackberry aromas. This wine takes its name from the time when wild mustang horses ran freely around the hills of eastern Washington State where this wine is made. Drink: 2010-2014. 226522 13.50% XD 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 89/100. January 3, 2012 Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
