Château Grand Village 2021, Bordeaux A.C., France: Château Grand Village 2021 is a dry, medium-plus-bodied and zesty blend of 74% Sauvignon Blanc with the balance in Sémillon. Grapes were hand-harvested and a portion of the wine (50%) produced in stainless-steel tanks with 30% in second use French oak barrels and the balance in new French oak barrels. The final blend spent eight months in oak barrels. Elegant and complex with green apple, ripe stone fruit, tropical fruit, lemon zest and minerally, wet stone notes matched with brilliant acidity and finishes long. Good now, better in 2024 or cellar to 2030. The Guinaudeau family have been growing grapes at Grand Village since the 17th century.
