At last, the Android wine app is available! This has been a labour of love for the past year (especially since it's free), so please let me know what you think. Suggestions? E-mail me those too. Be gentle :)
We were thrilled when the technology critic for the New York Times gave the app a great review on Wednesday! The wine app for iPhone, iPod Touch and BlackBerry are already available. Other smartphones can use the mobile site.
My top wine picks have some heavy-hitter shiraz and syrah from Australia and the Rhone Valley, refreshing sauvignon blanc from Chile and New Zealand and lusciously rich chardonnay from several regions.
This week's newsletter has tips on pairing wine and tomatoes that I shared with Bill Daley, wine columnist for the Chicago Tribune. I love tomato season!
