Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A zesty, subtly-spiced Zinfandel with 18% Petite Sirah, loaded with ripe (but not jammy) dark fruit, anise, savoury herb flavours balanced with food-friendly acidity for burgers and ribs. Finishes smoky, smooth and satisfying with a touch of white pepper spice. Nicely done and very approachable now.

Produced from dry-farmed, head-trained Zinfandel vines from Mendocino County with portions of Zinfandel from Lodi, Paso Robles vineyards and a splash of Petite Sirah from Lake County. Aged in traditional American and French oak barrels with further ageing in new and used bourbon barrels (some as old as 13 years) before the final assemblage. Tasted October 2020.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
