Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Fort Berens Estate Winery Rosé 2018 is so pretty with its pink florals, white freesia and baked cherry pie aromas. Produced from 100% organically-grown Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir wine grapes with a splash of Muscat to add to the aromatics, the rosé is a perfect patio sipper or sundowner, but also has bright acidity for food. Barely dry (9.5 g/l residual sugar), medium-bodied with lush raspberry, red berry, cold black tea flavours, some dried herbs and pepper spice finish. The wine juice was co-fermented in controlled-temperature stainless-steel tank to retain fruit freshness. Enjoy with a roasted red pepper, arugula and herbed goat cheese flatbread, quiches, brunch, charcuterie and creamy cheeses. Fort Berens Estate Winery is Lillooet’s First Winery. $21

This vintage was recently awarded Double Gold in the 2019 Pacific Rim Wine Competition.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
